Testing & Inspection

All electrical installations deteriorate with age and continual use. They should therefore be inspected and tested at regular intervals to assess their condition for every day use. A report will be issued on the completion stating the condition of the installation. We can help advise on the best course of action required if any departures from BS7671:2018 are found.

Some Examples of the Recommended Frequency of Inspection & Testing by the IET Wiring Regulations BS7671: 2018

• Domestic Accommodation – Every 10 years
• Rented Domestic Accommodation - Every 5 years or change of Tenancy
• Commercial – Every 5 years
• Industrial – Every 3 years
• Offices – Every 5 years
• Shops – Every 5 years
• Village Halls – Every 5 years
• Cinemas – Every 1-3 years
• Churches – Every 5 years
• Caravan Parks – Every year
• Fire Alarms – Every year
• Caravans – Every 3 years
