G E Bright Electrical was established in 1952 by Geoffrey Ernest Bright. Geoff (as he was known), served as a radio engineer in the RAF during WW2 and worked on the maintenance of the famous Lancaster bomber. After being demobbed he returned home to Tenbury and started the business at 2 Teme Street. Here he sold TV's, Radios, LP's and cycles, as well as having a busy repairs workshop.

The electrical contracting side of the business grew when many rural homes were having electrical installations for the first time and TV's were a new experience as the technology became more affordable.

Geoff was a member of many local organisations including the Chamber of Trade and the Town Council. Having a farming background he was especially pleased to serve as the President of Tenbury Agricultural Society and was very proud of his two terms as Mayor of Tenbury Wells.

G E Bright Electrical is now run by second and third generation of family members with a valued staff of 22, and whilst some things have changed over the years......
